Next Taste of Basalt Set for November 8, 2014
Next Taste of Basalt set for November 8, 2014
The much-anticipated annual community event, the Taste of Basalt, will rock the Roaring Fork Club on Saturday, November 8, 2014. Delicious (and filling!) food samples from some of the midvalley’s most popular restaurants; wine, beer, and cocktail tasting from local distributors; dancing to the tunes of DJ Dylan; a fabulous silent auction; and a popular raffle with top prizes are all on tap for “the Taste,” now in its 19th year.
Proceeds go directly to the non-profit Basalt Education Foundation, which enhances education in the Basalt public schools by funding creative and innovative programs, including outdoor education, art, music and technology, for all students in grades K-12. Money raised at the Taste of Basalt is granted to teachers and administrators at the three public schools, who apply for funding for specific programming and initiatives–which might be new art supplies at the elementary school, iPads for the middle school or support of a Model UN program at the high school. Tickets for the Taste of Basalt go on sale in September. Meanwhile, you can sign up for our newsletter for a chance to win TWO tickets to the event. We’ll draw a winner in early October.
