Support BEF on Colorado Gives Day!

 In BEF Updates

Basalt Education Foundation is delighted to participate in Colorado Gives Day on December 5, 2017, an annual statewide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. The movement’s motto: “Give Where You Live.”

Colorado Gives Day is powered by ColoradoGives.org, a year-round website featuring more than 2,000 nonprofits statewide.

This day of giving features a $1 Million Incentive Fund (thanks to the Community First Foundation and FirstBank). Every nonprofit receiving a donation on Colorado Gives Day receives a portion of the Incentive Fund, which increases the value of every dollar donated. For example, if BEF receives 10 percent of the total donations made on Colorado Gives Day, we will receive 10 percent of the $1 Million Incentive Fund!

You can wait until Colorado Gives Day, December 5, to make your online donation to BEF through the ColoradoGives.org website (so we can receive a portion of that Incentive Fund). Or, if you’d like, you can schedule donation in advance.

Here’s how you’d do just that:

1.) Visit the BEF page on ColoradoGives.org.

2.) Press the green “Donate Now” button.

3.) Add your donation amount and be sure to click the “CO Gives Day” option to schedule it to process on Dec. 5. Complete the other fields; one dropdown field allows you to designate whether the funds you donate will be used at the “Nonprofit’s Discretion” or the “BHS College Scholarship Fund” — our goal is to raise enough money to increase our scholarship funding to graduating Basalt seniors from $17,500 in 2017 to $20,000 or more in 2018! Then click “Add To Cart.”

4.) Want to donate to more than one organization? Click “Add More Donations” on the next page and keep going!

5.) When all of your scheduled donations are in the cart, continue checking out by logging in or creating a donor account, entering your payment information, and then submit.

It’s that easy!

Thanks for “Giving Where You Live” and supporting Basalt public schools through the Basalt Education Foundation.
