Basalt Education Foundation Welcomes Michaela Idhammar-Ketpura as New Executive Director
Basalt, Colorado, February 27, 2025 - Basalt Education Foundation (BEF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Michaela Idhammar-Ketpura as its new Executive Director. With over 20 years in nonprofit leadership, youth advocacy, and community engagement, Michaela brings a wealth of experience and passion to the organization as it continues its mission to support and enhance public education in the Basalt community.
Michaela joins BEF with a deep commitment to education and youth development, having most recently served as the Executive Director of Aspen Youth Center for the past 10 years. Her leadership experience in the Roaring Fork Valley has demonstrated her ability to foster strategic partnerships, drive impactful fundraising initiatives, and advocate for student success. With a proven track record of building community relationships and championing educational opportunities, Michaela is well-positioned to guide BEF into its next chapter.

The Basalt Education Foundation is dedicated to funding programs that enrich the educational experience for students in Basalt schools, including outdoor and experiential education programs, classroom grants, teacher support, and student enrichment opportunities. Through strong community partnerships and generous donor contributions, BEF continues to enhance the learning experience for all students in Basalt Elementary, Middle, and High Schools.
